No thrill, no entertainment

In Kasargod, a jewellery shop gets robbed and Inspector Sajan Philip (Asif Ali) is assigned its iinvestigation, who is suffering from depression after accidentally shooting a protester. Sajan finds out that a robbery is done by a north Indian team from dhanaganj. So he travels with his team to dhanaganj in order to grab the culprits. Rest of the film is how they catch the culprits.

The plus points of kuttavum shikshayum is asif Ali's acting which is hands down his most finest performance. He looks and behaves exactly like a no nonsense cop. The story is very interesting and the locations are real.

While the story is interesting, the screenplay is absolutely flat which runs at a snail pace. Another drawback is wasting the talent of established actors like sharafudeen, sunny Wayne and sethil Krishna. Films like unda had a similar narrative style but that film explored each and every characters well. But in kuttavum shikshayum except asif Ali's character none of the supporting characters are fleshed out. This is based on a real life incident narrated by sibi sir in safari channel. I heard his storytelling was thrilling in safari but rajeev Ravi failed to make it thrilling on screen.
