This movie is another of the too many stories about the unrequited love of the male best friend, Cooper, while the girl, Maddie, pines for someone else
There is a slightly funny sequence where Cooper tries to set up his chance to tell Maddie about his love and it backfires in an interesting way.
I struggled to have any respect for Maddie for two reasons. First, she's an idiot not to realize Cooper's feelings. Second, how can she stand Luke? He made me sick with his lack of sincerity.
Maddie loves to sing and we get to hear Alys Crocker sing both typical carols and original songs. Some are with David Pinard.
The acting is fair. Likewise the dialogue. It does have a few decent moments. As for sets, there are far too many Christmas decorations. There are some efforts at comedy through silliness primarily by characters Jackie and Brett.
The pace lags at times. There are no great highs or lows or surprises, but it also isn't that bad. It's family friendly and has some good moments.
