Written by Kazuya Konomoto, Odd Taxi is the story of a walrus taxi driver in a the world of an anthropomorphic Tokyo, as the many riders of the main character's taxi, Odokawa, slowly have their stories intertwine, eventually involving missing girls, the yakuza, and murder. Definitely an odd show, the title doesn't lie, I enjoyed it through and through over the course of its run, and think it does a good job building its many different characters. There's a lot of themes of fate and coincidence, and due to this some of the circumstances throughout the series get to be a bit unbelievable, but with over a dozen different personalities to keep track of the animation style of each of the animals plays very well with its plot. Of course theres a bit of a twist ending and of course a minor cliffhanger, so we'll have to wait till season 2 for more, I don't mind how / where this ended but I didn't absolutely love it either. Fairly easy to watch and continually complelling, I'd recommend for anyone looking for another slice of life / mystery style anime that doesn't involve middle / high schoolers. Good show.
