I'm a Hindustani vocalist and a university professor in Music who has been an avid follower of film music upto the nineties and even won prizes in its performances. However, I have been noticing that while contestant Senjuthi is being praised highly and even the very mediocre Ms Limaye, the really gifted and highly precise Sonakshi Kar is being ignored and shockingly her beautiful rendition of the immortal " Raina beeti jaye " was so harshly edited leaving out the important lines of the song in tonight's telecast. Similarly, her duet rendition of the Shivranjini based " tere mere beech me " was ignored despite her depiction being more precise !
