Waltons Mountain Sold?
20 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
First we all know that the Waltons never moved away from their home otherwise they'd be no TV show so even though John plans to sell we know he won't.

That guy who wants to buy their acres for him and his wife is someone I wouldn't trust. He really works for a corporation who wants to build a health resort on their hot springs. He doesn't level with John and John Boy so when he offers $30 grand, to build them a new home away from the resort and plans to pay John as a game warden who can believe him? John Walton does.

John Boy is in disbelief that his father would sell their home but John is looking for a better life for his family and financial stability. Ralph Waite does well wanting to do the right thing for everyone. It takes John Boy to explain how he has no right to tell his father what to do since he's going to college, but the younger kids would be denied the wonderful life John Boy remembers growing up in that house. Plus I was waiting for him to say 'If you sell this house and land our TV show will be cancelled and we lose our option. This show is still in the Top Ten.'

That was a good scene in the kids' bedroom especially hearing the song, Lorena, in the background. I still think he could have done well selling out but it wasn't in the cards.
