I expected some drastic changes after the last season's ending but everything (mostly) returned to the status quo in the first scene. I can't say i was surprised but i at least hoped that the season premiere would be about rick and morty trying to come back home. The rest of the episode is fine, nothing to write home about but definitely better than most season 5 and season 4 part 1 episodes. Justin roiland seems proud of the season though. I guess we'll have to wait a few weeks to be able to have an actual opinon on the season as a whole. But as a stand alone episode this is a perfectly average episode of rick and morty, albeit one of the weaker season premieres.
