What do you do when you're coming off one of the biggest sitcoms ever? It's a question that many have faced, and not many people have really navigated successfully.
Well, if you're Ted Danson you do a very clever thing by playing a character that's totally different from Sam Malone, who he played to great acclaim on 'Cheers' for eleven years.
'Becker' is a joy. A good old fashioned sitcom, about a grumpy man (a doctor no less) who actually has a heart of gold.
This Pilot/first episode shows a lot of promise, and while not all the characters hit the ground running, the lethal mix of humour and heart sees it get off to a good start indeed.
