This is the episode that my spouse and I finally gave up on this series. Mike Flanagan's shows need some editing, the characters give these long boring monologues that don't really advance the story. Seriously, Bly Manor could have been wrapped up in about half as many episodes. It's not a bad show but I figured out much of the characters long before the show finally got around to slowly revealing the surprise. We watched Midnight Mass recently, also by Mike Flanagan, and while we made it all the way through to the end it suffered from the same problems. Too long and way too many long, boring monologues.
