I disagree with a lot of those who commented, I really liked the ending. It felt hopeful, uplifting, positive and it left me with a smile, after quite a few tears throughout this episode. It is about overcoming pain and your past, looking to the future, healing and forgiving others, but most importantly forgiving yourself. What a wonderful gift of positivity this ending gave us. There are so, so many dark shows with no happy endings in sight, it feels almost like a guilty pleasure to be handed this one so unexpectedly. I felt sure it was going to be dramatic and dark, but it ended up being something totally different. I took a while to get into this series, but I am so glad that I persevered as after the first few episodes I was hooked. If you don't like to be left with a positive and optimistic message then don't watch this episode or even this series, there are plenty of dark shows out there for you. Personally I really enjoyed this series and this episode was my favourite!
