This series does a spectacular job of telling a story - letting you experience the inner journey of a character as he impacts the world around him and is shaped by the aftermath of those events.

Strap on your gear, mount up and head to the objective. This episode captures the emotion of riding into battle: Entering the unknown with knowledge you may not be coming back out again, compartmentalizing fear, and moving forward with brothers sustained by knowledge, training and human will.

The writers and director treat the characters (and warfighters they are based upon) with respect and dignity. They also do a good job of highlighting the stresses soldiers carry home when they return.

The fictional events of the tale definitely have a Hollywood and sometimes super-human flare, but the sentiments and experiences of the characters will resonate for anyone who has been through a military deployment.

There were ample opportunities throughout this series to score domestic political points for one party or another, but the writers did a great job of avoiding this pitfall. In a world where all media is being consumed by partisan politics, "Terminal List" manages to stay out of the mud and focus on what matters to the characters: family, brotherhood/sisterhood in service, and justice.

I appreciate what Chris Pratt has done with the series, and would highly recommend it to anyone who likes a solid action thriller.
