I really don't get the hate some movies get sometimes. The actors are insanely good looking, the script is compelling and the landscapes are dreamlike. It's a nice little postcard brought into the screen. And I genuinely don't see anything wrong with that. The movie can be cheesy, but unlike what I've just read, never cringeworthy. It reminds me a lot of Simply Irresistible, another one of my guilty pleasure movies. Only this one is giving me this taste for escape, every time I watch it. It's romantic, sexy, funny and cute. Which I think, is exactly what it was meant to be. And can be more down to earth, despite its frivolous quirks. It's one of those films that reminded us movies could take you on a journey. You just had to be on board with it...
