I love monster movies, and on paper this one should be right up my alley. Unfortunately, most of this movie is dull and without suspense. And even when the chaos did start up, I still wasn't invested in any of the characters except for the resident screw up, Snyder. The interior sets also look quite hokey for the time when compared to films like Alien.
On the plus side though, the monster does look pretty cool, even if some of its scenes are completely ludicrous. The exterior shots of the underwater vessels also look quite good for the time and budget, making me think that Deep Star Six had a lot of wasted potential.
