Decent little horror thriller, supposedly based on true events. Set in the US in the 1940's the setting is good and a little creepy. The film is totally carried by Jessica Harper as Ruth, the main character of the film who is gradually disturbed by happenings in the house she has bought with her husband. Decent set pieces and a nice twist at the end raises it above the mediocre.
