Words don't do this one justice. The music, the audio work, the animation, all distinct and unique when combined to create a very emotionally-investing episode. At first I was jarred by the animation style, and the choice of shots paired with how janky and unnerving the characters were with their appearances and movements. But looking beyond that, you forget that these are in fact animated creations. There's so much going on so quickly, but it's easy to catch on to the plot. Topping it off, there is an overlying theme that ends with a very heartbreaking climax.
You might think there is a good person in this story. You guessed it: the horses. Neither main character is good, and they are a horribly wonderful pair.
