Here the Taylor's character is rather smooth for what he was supposed to be, but that crime movie remains very efficient and one of the better of Roy Rowland. Also a pretty good western specialist. And what a surprise to see Roy Barcroft in a small role, far from Republic Pictures serials best villains.
