Ambulance (2022)
5/10
Too much adrenaline but nowhere to go
27 May 2022
Ambulance is a movie that fire up its engine with an adrenaline boost and goes on to keep up the level of that. In the very beginning, the two things that get thrown at us are the characters and the plot itself. Right in the first act, the film runs on very fast-paced wheels introducing the characters, story, and everything else in a flash. One of the few things that try to catch our attention is the action-packed and tensed presentation, but it only works as a steroid boost and not a tool to make us invest more into the story. Coming to the story director Michael Bay has put together an explosive story that only bursts when it comes to action and thrill, but not on the suspense part. Talking about the editing and other stuff, all the stuff felt a bit rushed and needed more polish. Talking about the actors, almost everyone tried their best to keep us engaged with their characters but that also doesn't work out overall considering the so little time to shake them. All in all, Ambulance works out as a movie that gives you a big bag full of adrenaline and steroid shots which will be able to make you engaged and invested but later on you will get pulled out of it the moment you start to see and realize the similar patterns you have witnessed before. In the end, this film gives you a choice of watching it or not in the very first minutes of the beginning. In terms of watching it feels kinda heavy for a one-time watch.
