This week on Women In Space the woman of the week is the Security Officer, La'an. The episode is actually quite good but the inclusivity through exclusion agenda of this show (and every other New Trek show) is on display, as usual. As last week and the week before any male human character of a certain demographic, other than Pike, is toast if he speaks. Putting aside the ever present gender and racial politics, this was a good story although can we stop with the tragic past trope? It's going to become as ridiculous as the crying on Discovery.
