Murder in Provence: Episode #1.3 (2022)
Season 1, Episode 3
8/10
A fine end to series one.

Verlaque and Marine investigate two auspicious deaths, the first a young woman, working at a bank, the second an elderly lady with a bad memory.

This was perhaps the best episode of the first series, I really did enjoy this, great mystery, stunning visuals, and a gripping ending, this really did deliver. It's a shame that ITV didn't put this out on its general channel, people really are missing out.

I liked that Sylvie played a bigger part here, she's been something of a bit part player so far.

Nancy Carroll has been so good throughout, she looks so beautiful here, great to see her teamed up with her Father Brown fellow cast member John Light, I think the pair shared some real chemistry here.

One of the murders made sense initially, the other needed explaining, but was worth the wait.

I did chuckle at the scenes of Allam and Carroll in the car, or not, I was reminded of driving scenes from Murder she wrote. That Citroen is so cool, so quirky.

Please let there be a second series, 8/10.
