This is the sort of film you need to watch a few times to actually "get it" and soak in all the subtext missed from the first 2 times watching.
The film has more potential than it allows itself to explore. That which borders on deep Existential personal journey allows itself to be dosed with woke and soak with the basic premise moving from the genre of "sci fi multiverse" to "teen emo angst" story rather rapidly, and not in a subtle way.
Big fan of Michelle Yeoh since the 80's and definitely this one gets to showcase her multitude of acting scope. Worth watching more or less, but more for the Martial Arts display and less for the Rattatoie references. *
