Warning: Spoilers
Timing is everything. I recently re-watched Black Sunday on Shudder and was struck with how that film inspired The Wrath.

What impressed me the most is how Brava's basic story line endures and how nimbly it successfully crosses cultural lines. Big fan of Asian horror and I'm aware of the myriad of cultural nuances which was why a comparison of Black Sunday/The Wrath home.

The Wrath was exceptionally well executed, wonderful atmospheric creepiness and a few good jump scares. Cinematography was beautiful and acting performances sincere and engaging. Yes, it's a bit "soapy", especially the minor characters (but don't fret, they'll suffer).

My only gripe is the conclusion was predictable, but it not a deal breaker. But I admit I'm a sucker for a vengeful ghost strot!

The Wrath is a satisfying watch and, yep, pair it with Black Sunday for a fun comparison if you got time. Totally worth the double feature.
