Just dump the Madrigal subplot
17 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
In this episode we explore 3 subplots that are developing and ranging from pretty good to outright boring and skippable. First one being John, 117, exploring his old home with doctor halsey and her assistant. This subplot is, on this episode the best and is done pretty damn well in terms of CGI, acting and plot. There's just some small tweaks like how john should probably have had the helmet on more to not show him as a normal weak human but something in between a spartan and what he's developing into.

The second subplot, although pretty short, is the 3 spartans at the base. We learn that one of them removed the "feelings blocker" and now has, feelings. It's pretty decent although feels forced and simply undermines the image of spartans being what they are, cold killing machines.

Now the last subplot and god damn I don't understand why they decided to add this. It has so far nothing to do with the main plot, the young girl who we're supposed to root for I guess is extremely annoying and acts like an entitled brat. Showing up to her planet and after about 1h or so visiting her dads mourning only to shout and call everyone a traitor like what the hell!? The "evil" guy is honestly more appealing than her and I wouldn't mind if it ended with him at the top, still in control.

Overall, John subplot: pretty nice, Madrigal subplot: scrap it.
