I have watched most of the series (up until season 15) and re-watching it I get more and more annoyed with Dr. Ogden. The woman does not know what she wants and messes up with everyone else.
She doesn't know what she wants to do - she is the city's coroner, than a pediatrician, then a psychiatrist, then a coroner again, then a surgeon (and complaints that a woman is discriminated, but she can get the job she wants with no problem).
And her love life is a mess - she flirts with Murdoch (knowing that he is a catholic), gets involved with him, confesses an abortion, breaks up with him, gets involved with Darcy, rejects Murdoch (when he wants to propose to her -which she knows), gets married to Darcy, rejects Darcy because she realize she loves Murdoch (she never takes Darcy's name - Garland), wants a divorce - best option is an annulment to which Darcy agrees - but she can't lie in court that the marriage was never consummated. So the next option is to be found an adulterous wife - Murdoch agrees to be the correspondent and face the coming scandal (which would probably ruin his career, on top of being a catholic) which she finds ok.
When Darcy is found dead she doesn't even find the decency to wear black - she does so only after Giles points this out.
