I was reading the book and decided to watch the movie as well. The movie is the biggest let down I've ever experienced. The book had depth, the movie was more shallow than a puddle. The book had colour, the movie was one dimensional and cheesier than a block of cheddar. The book raised interesting issue of morality and philosophy and living...the movie raised nothing...nada...not a thing. I honestly despise what the writer and producer and the entire team did to this movie. Watch it if you like to have great things utterly and completely ruined. Watch it if you want to lose respect for cinema in general.
