I didn't much care for the first season of Bridgerton. It seemed to be very much counting on the fact that sex sells - which it apparently also did with the season being renewed for a 2nd, 3rd and 4th season. I'm glad that this part got toned down this time around.
Season two very much surprised be in the way that it did go more into depths on certain characters psyche and character development - mostly Anthony. The newer take on a love triangle as well as the beautifully portrayed inner conflicts of many of the characters helped over look the sometimes rather long stretched side plots and the not so well scripted and "in your face" empowerment lines.
Overall a big improvement and a season that will keep you rooting, crying, laughing and - of course - entertained.
