Rob the Mob (2014)
4/10
It may be that Tommy and Rosie's sole purpose in life was simply to serve as a warning to others

Who robs the Mob? Believe it or not this is based on the true life and death story of Tommy Uva (Michael Pitt) and Rosie DeToma (Nina Arianda) who used an Uzi style machine gun to actually rob at least four Mafia social clubs. Tommy Uva attended some of John Gotti's court trial where one of the witnesses stated that the Mafia social clubs did not allow guns on the premise to avoid anyone losing their temper and play Rambo. So Tommy thought it would be a good idea to play Bonnie and Clyde and have Rose his girlfriend drive the getaway car, and he would enter the unarmed Mafia social clubs, advise all members to undress before robbing them.

The film lacked a suspenseful music score, and the robberies were presented as being comical which I don't think anyone was laughing during these robberies, except for maybe Tommy who apparently enjoyed antagonizing the mobsters in their own social clubs.. When a club member told Tommy that he would be killed for his offenses, Thomas replied, "Everybody dies." The mobsters reminded Tommy that he was a walking dead man, and on Christmas Day both Tommy and Rose while driving in their car near their apartment were hit by a hail of bullets and their robbery spree was over as were their lives.

I give this fact based film a lowly 4 out of 10 IMDB score, I expected so much more but I guess so did Tommy and Rose and at least I am still alive to be writing about their story. Regrettable Tommy and Rose have nothing to say six feet under.
