Haunted by self-shame, the clown carries the heavy burden of weariness, as represented within the matching color pallets, specifically between his costume and the leaves of early autumn in the background. This is all due to lack of confidence, as people see through him. More than that, wherever he goes, the color red serves as the main theme in all aspects - the matchbox, the matchstick, the balloon, the nose, the suspenders, the ribbons, and the shoes. Perhaps to represent the detours of confusion, making him wander aimlessly from his sense of purpose. So, as he removes his costume, he unloads the heaviness of malarkey. He feels free! He clears his mind within the embrace of Mother Earth to achieve peace within - completely surrounded by the green colors of prosperity. Surprisingly, it is the same color from the green jacket in his premonition - a vision of himself gaining approvals from a cheering audience, in order to gain the sense of completeness. Amazingly, it is the same feeling he manifested throughout most of his career, until the day he surrenders himself into the serenity of nature. Genius!
