Warning: Spoilers
Though I'd been aware of it for years, this show caught my attention recently, prompting me to press "tape series."

"Inside Edition" is quickly paced and colorfully curated, a kind of visual junk food you consume while doing other things. I play my tapes the morning after, while taking care of chores like checking my bank account, buying things online, or getting breakfast on the table.

An episode can't fail to be interesting. Here were yesterday's bullet points:

* Elderly woman pickpocketed while praying with eyes closed in Tennessee church -- "What happened is ridiculously evil."

* Weddings held, and babies born, on 2/22/22 -- "The next time this will happen is in 400 years."

* Putin's private life, upon the invasion of Ukraine -- and a glance at his alleged "secret mistress," a 38-year-old Olympic rhythmic gymnast (interesting sport).

* Stock market drops 3 percent -- "Your 401K is taking a direct hit."

* Update on the "Tinder swindler."

* "Walking Dead" actor dead of a gunshot wound.

* California woman jailed for two weeks in mistaken-identity case. Her name differs by a middle initial from the real woman wanted by the law -- "I begged for somebody to listen, and nobody would."

* Before-and-after triplets aged 36, all pregnant at the same time, with their "cutie-pies."

Not deep, for sure, but diverting enough. A keeper, at least for now.
