Up till the big reveal this is a great episode. However IMHO the reveal was a terrible idea. First, does anyone find believable the idea that someone bent on revenge and gaining control of a large chunk of New York's underworld would prepare for this effort by spending years as a....school teacher? Its absurd. Second, why was he alone in an apartment without a weapon more lethal than a knife when Reese found him? Again its absurd. Third, Mr. Finch moved around way too fast in this episode, flitting back and forth between his computer and being out on the street. I am watching this series for the first time on DVD and the first several episodes were outstanding, but I was very disappointed in "Witness".
