A good script, very well done dialogue, and some unnervingly long static shots with a good sprinkling of light comedy. Jenna Ortega, Maddie Ziegler and especially Lumi Pollack were incredible.
I'm not American, but I'm well aware of the situation. This movie opened a window to the reality that many kids are forced to face on a seemingly regular basis.
