Not Very Good

Warning: Spoilers
I saw The King's Daughter, starring Pierce Brosnan-the Mamma Mia! Movies, Mars Attacks!; Kaya Scodelario-Resident Evil:Welcome to Raccoon City, Crawl; Benjamin Walker-Jessica Jones_tv, Abraham Lincoln:Vampire Hunter and William Hurt-Goliath_tv, the Marvel movies.

This movie was made in 2014 but just now being released-I have an idea why-and it's not a very good movie. Pierce plays King Louis the 14th in the 1600's and wants to live forever, so when he hears about a mermaid that has magical powers of healing and immortality, he sends Benjamin-a sea captain-to capture it and bring it back alive. Kaya is Pierce's daughter that befriends the mermaid and William is Pierce's priest. For the mermaid's immortality to work, she must be freshly killed on a lunar eclipse and her life force harvested but of course, Kaya does not want that to happen-she thinks they should set the mermaid free. FYI: They got Julie Andrews to be the narrator-they must have paid her some big bucks.

It's rated PG for violence and suggestive material and has a running time of 1 hour & 30 minutes.

It's not one that I would buy on DVD or even rent it but if you are interested, I'd wait until it comes to tv.
