. . . there was a cute Dutch fable about a boy valiantly saving his town by sticking his finger, or multiple digits or his entire fist into a leaking dike. IN DUTCH features a heroine listed as "Dinah the Dachshund," which, of course, is synonymous with Di, the wiener dog. Di literally crams her entire elongated torso into the earthen dam's breach. As you can see, there is really no acceptable way to relate this 16th Century tale in this Our Modern 21st Century. It's like trying to walk across a mine field in No Man's Land without getting blown sky high.
