I am a big fan of "Emergency Helicopter Medics" so when I saw this series I was keen to watch it. But after one episode (Series 1, Ep 2) I am not keen any more.
The primary reason is the narration. It seems intended for people with zero medical knowledge and a short memory; it's repetitive and it is the primary voice telling the story. "Emergency Helicopter Medics" had a narrator but let the medics do most of the talking so the story unfolded through their eyes. It also introduced us to the medics more thoroughly so viewers felt they were getting to know them.
It also seemed uncaring about covering all of the story. *Spoiler starts here* ] The episode I watched had a woman with an awful ankle injury -- yet we were never told how it happened. Another patient was inordinately concerned about finding his mobile phone -- but we were never told if anyone actually found it. *End spoiler*.
