Unique oater, but not in a good way
19 December 2021
The title and premise evoke fond memories of the old Kung Fu TV series and a handful of GOOD movies that adroitly mixed Asian martial arts with our cowboy era. This one starts slow, and stays there. We're all familiar with transition scenes of characters walking or riding for a while. This one may have set a record for percentage of running time on such narratively pointless meanderings through completely uninteresting environs. But that's OK here, since the dialog, acting and action scenes are so dull, there's no hurry to reach them. I've seen over 200 Spaghetti Westerns (including many far superior vehicles for George Eastman and Gordon Mitchell), and this is probably the most missable of the lot.
