Right from the start the odd character of this movie begins to grate on your nerves...while the setting is fairly accurate the characters are not...as any military man can tell you, soldiers don't look like they just came out of wardrobe, especially when you are supposed to be on Okinawa, the dirtiest and bloodiest battle of the entire war.
