Warning: Spoilers
I've seen a few very poor ratings and claims to be "Boring." I'm guessing that's because it begins with some extreme violence where the assassin kills ten or so samurai at a time. He does this a few times where he goes through these trained samurai as though they had no trading at all. Then the movie become more of a drama and love story when a very beautiful young lady comes into this killing machines life and gets him to feel. Maybe the subtle transformation was a bit slow at times, but all in all it remained interesting.

As for the action in this movie. The sword work of the assassin was very fast and looked very real as though the strikes was from a actual samurai sword. That had to take a great deal of coordinating to make it look that real. I'm looking forward to watch the next chapter of the story when he goes back to war ten years later.
