This sequel to the first film is more of a retread than a follow-on, with another group of high-achieving students finding themselves trapped inside a school at night and tormented by a mysterious assailant. While the whole curse/ghost/back story is familiar and has some merit, it's the execution that lets this one down and makes it a weaker movie than the original - which was in itself no great shakes to begin with. There's jumbled editing, cheap violence and unappealing characters, and big, unexplained elements I didn't care for at all (such as why did the main girl hate her sister so much?).
