Anyway - As the story goes - The Commissioner is killed in a stagecoach wreck that has been carefully orchestrated by Lambert. Lambert then replaces the Commissioner with an imposter who plans to falsify Coonskin's land survey. When Red Ryder exposes the imposter and his scam, the tenacious Lambert has his puppet sheriff put our hero in the hoosegow.
