Review of Provocation

Provocation (1971)
7/10
a very competent and erotically-charged Greek exploitation drama
14 October 2021
Efstratiadis was one of the leading directors in what is called 'the golden age of Greek erotic cinema' and this 1971 film showcases his vision and talent. This nicely shot production assembles a stellar cast, including Udo Kier as the main lead, as well as several famous Greek idols. The music by Manos Loizos is wonderful and there is enough nudity -and a little violence- even in the cut 91-minute version, for those who can't find the 111-minute edit.
