Hearty Congratulations to the 2 Winning Larkin Teams
8 October 2021
The local Rural Council Bi-Election is about to get dirty as the Battersby Camp, has decided to up the anti against the Larkin candidature.

Cedric is acting like a proper Charlie around the Carry On Marion situation, and the Charlton household atmosphere is to say the least frosty.

Meanwhile Marriette and Charlie are up to their armpits in their, continued endeavour to purchase Bristow's Brewery.

This Episode marked the very last ever one from the original TV representation, of the novels by H. E. Bates. That I still have not read and in all honesty probably never will, for absolutely no good reason other than bone idleness.

There is a totally new incarnation of the Darling Buds of May awaiting broadcasting its inaugural Episode this very weekend. That is dated Sunday 10th October 2021, with an entirely new crew of actors and actresses.

The main reason I shall not be rushing to view this new adaptation is simply that you, cannot top the 1st one no matter how good this turns out to be.

A nice touch for this new show would be for some of the actors from, the original programme to put in an appearance.

I am working out the actors ages today and Ma and Pop new baby Oscar, actor Ross Marriott is 30 now in 2021.

Marriette and Charlie nipper John Blenheim played by a lass Daisy-May Bates, is now also aged 30 in 2021.

Victoria played by Stephanie Ralph is now around 38 years young, while the twins Petunia and Zinia. Played by Christina and Katherine Giles respectively I am guessing, are approximately 41 years each now.

Monty played by Ian Tucker is now in 2021, 50 years of age.

I appreciate that most of these actors have not acted in a great deal, since first their first appearance in the Darling Buds of May. But I cannot help feeling it would make a nice touch if they could, at the very least get cameo appearances in the occasional episode.
