He's the victim of a a hit-and-run driver and Paxton beats him to death to end his (the dog's) suffering. Sam has never washed her face before. Also, Leo finds out that Paxton is in chat rooms pretending to be a (girl) cheerleader. There might have been other developments but they would have paled in comparison to what I've already detailed.
