Warning: Spoilers
The despondent Carolyn is desperate to stop her mother's wedding, and after a confrontation with Jason gets rip roaring drunk. Drunk and desperate, she makes a drastic decision, and watching Carolyn build up to her intended actions is brilliant, with her 12 minutes of commanding the episode's absolutely fantastic build up. Then we switch to Elizabeth and Victoria preparing unhappily so, and even as an unhappy bride to be, Joan Bennett is stunning.

There are a few things coming up that show this is a culmination of stories building since the show's beginning, and the slow build up makes it all the more tense filled. A scene between Roger and Burke, eventually intruded in with the presence of the slimy Jason, shows that Roger hasn't forgotten the past even if there's been a reluctant truce. The one thing that sticks out is the family loyalty, and even with the potential of violence, that loyalty is undeniable. The twist at the end is a complete surprise and totally unexpected.
