Dead Heading (2018)
7/10
Pretty good, but a tad drawn out

Warning: Spoilers
Snarky flight attendant Anna (a sharp performance by Lisa Ronaghan) hooks up with handsome John (a charming portrayal by Bryan Larkin) in a hotel bar during a layover in London. Things take a nasty turn after Anna wakes up the next morning with John's bloodied corpse in bed right next to her.

Writer/director David Easton relates the absorbing story at a reasonable pace, captures the fatigue and frustration caused by jet lag well, and further spices things up with a nice sense of dry dark humor (no big surprise that disposing of a corpse is anything but easy). Moreover, there are neat supporting contributions from Magda Rodriguez as Anna's perky gal pal Angela and Pablo Raybould as a pesky maintenance man. However, this film could have benefitted from tighter editing; some scenes go on longer than they need to and the opening third is a tad laborious as a direct result of this. That criticism aside, this one overall makes for a perfectly acceptable diversion.
