Shetland: Dead Water: Part 2 (2014)
Season 2, Episode 4
6/10
Deep story, but perhaps too slow.

Jimmy Perez now has a second murder to investigate, he also has to deal with problems at home, and potentially poisoned fish.

I liked the first episode, I quite liked this second part, I'm all for a deep, heavy murder mystery, but in all honesty this was a little boring at times.

Plenty of suspects, and the ending is cohesive, maybe a 90 minute format would have worked better here. The first episode of the series didn't suffer the same pacing issues.

The show is known for its breathtaking scenery and incredible visuals, unfortunately they don't make great use of the surroundings here, only a few shots to enjoy.

Nina Sosanya is cracking here, as was Alex Norton, the acting in general was on point.

Ultimately it's rewarding, but at times it's very slow, 6/10.
