Not a bad start to the series and, surprisingly, the wooden Wield isn't really missed while his replacement Spike looks like she has been a part of the team for ages.
Some big names here give the episode some gravitas.
David Soul has taken to being in a few UK detective dramas (Poitot and Lewis) but this is probably his best character.
