Evidence in Concrete
3 August 2021
It starts off with a good plug for the AA patrolman, at a time when members would get a salute from them.

An AA patrolman finds a body of a dead woman. The police think she was killed elsewhere and her body was moved later on.

Superintendent Duggan of Scotland Yard is called in to investigate.

At the same time a lorry driver is notifying the police that his truck with a consignment of whisky was stolen.

It soon transpires that the whisky and the dead woman are linked. The lorry driver was involved with the the young woman.

It seems the woman was asleep in the truck when it was stolen for its valuable cargo.

There are some nice touches as to how the police rely on informants. There was an obvious candidate as the potential murderer as they initially appear in a minor role.
