This is truly a fascinating movie, the pace & beautiful film style has a magnetic quality. Also, to watch an Indian movie that does't have the typical kitsch was refreshing. Though, being someone myself who has studied classical Indian music for most of my life, I do wonder why the common 'go to' is to that of 'this music is under appreciated & much too difficult to succeed in' either for ones own personal fulfilment or as a sustainable life path.
My natural gravitation is certainly towards films of this genre that bring more depth of inspiration to the viewer like Music of the Mystics or A Voice from Heaven. Because, in this era of low attention spans I think most people are ready to commit themselves to watch or listen to something that truly elevates their appreciation of the fine arts.
Huge respect to those who were willing to present the classical music scene in it's raw form though!
