I was pleasantly surprised with Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan, a short but rather impactful anime that managed to package a collection of gripping stories in its 4 episode length. Every episode managed to have edge of the seat suspense and some good unconventional action (no guns or explosions or heavy fighting, just watch it to find out how exactly it is unconventional). The coloring was splendid, making most of the visuals look rather scenic and wallpaper worthy.
Episode 1 had a rather original action sequence to start the series, and the constant tension during it felt a major high point for an opening episode.
Episode 2 almost bordered on horror, with so much gore that even I, as someone who's used to goriest of movies, felt shocked at times.
Episode 3 somewhat started slow with a lot of dialogue, but soon transformed into an unpredictable surprise.
Episode 4, the most action-packed one, rounded off the series with a strong impact.
