Nightmare Wedding (2016 TV Movie)
Max (the groom) can do better than Sandy.
7 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The protagonist (Sandy) would rather keep her secret, which gets her friends killed in the process, than tell this secret and let the chips fall where they may. Not very honorable or sympathetic. If the bride's indiscretion happened six years ago, and this guy has managed to become her boyfriend's best friend, why in that time did she not come clean? It has been in her power for six years to remove Roman from their lives, and she didn't do it.

The whole movie Sandy is trying to make sure her wedding goes off with a hitch and yet it's clear that she's determined to deceive her soon-to-be husband til death parts them. She gets mad at Roman's mere presence, she gets mad at her best friend when she alludes to something, I "think" her sister did the same. She gets mad when she sees her soon-to-be skinny dipping in the pool with her sister (still not smart, but the villain conveniently got out) and yet she's still lying to him. She's the main character, but she's no one to root for. She is the actual cheater, and yet she storms off when confronted about her past with Roman by her fiancé. She gives it her all to try to keep it from him, but something happens (can't remember what even though I just watched today) and she had the gall to pretend she doesn't know what he's talking about. She eventually tells him what happened in a room full of people btw. The scene where she piecemeals her confession and is rightfully called out on it by Max still didn't make me sympathetic towards her. The actor playing Max played the scene perfectly. His entire demeanor was like "do you hear yourself talking right now?" She sounded like such a selfish hypocrite. It goes w/o saying that Roman was the "bad guy," but none of this would have happened if she had told the truth SIX years prior. I know these movies have to have certain endings, but to me she didn't deserve her happy ending. Her lies got her friend killed!

I FF to the end, because she's so annoying and it costs lives before she takes responsibility for her actions. She's not worth killing for (looking at you Roman), she's not worth dying for (RIP Lisa), and Max, you can do better!!
