4/10
This is a fun watch but below average addition to the genre

Gas Pump Girls (1979) is a movie I recently watched off Amazon Prime. The storyline focuses on a young lady and her friends who begin operating a gas station after her uncle suffers a heart attack. The girls dress in high shorts and bikini tops and discover they attract both the right and wrong kind of attention. Can they keep the gas station afloat while the uncle recovers? This movie is directed by Joel Bender (Bella Mia) and stars Kirsten Baker (Friday the 13th Part II), Sandy Johnson (Halloween), Steve Bond (Tarzan and the Jungle Boy) and Ken Lerner (The Running Man). The storyline for this is classic 70/80s where it feels like an excuse for women to get naked. The comedic content in here was lacking compared to better films like Porky's and Nerds. The opening graduation and customers going to the gas station was good, but the gas stealing and ultimate conclusion were kind of blah. I also always hate the dance sequences in these movies. Awkward. Overall, this is a fun watch but below average addition to the genre. I'd score this a 4/10.
