Good Enough Ending of a Good Series
30 May 2021
Have forgiveness for the negative reviews of some of the previous Season 3 episodes but this is one of those Final Seasons that really could have been summed up in a 2-hour movie.

Not much happened and it was awkward getting past Alan Arkin but by this last episode, despite the farfetched premise of a no name Sandy being cast by Barry Levinson, a director known for hiring the biggest names in town, and rehiring them again and again, over and over... plus a somewhat sappy ending... This isn't about one particular episode or even season but the entire series ended here as well...

And it was a good series, while it lasted, and yet it didn't last very long, and there were too few episodes per season, especially here... But the entire thing seemed like an intentional Hallmark Card of ironic humor, passing through life in the 11th hour.

And it was nice seeing Kathleen Turner and Michael Douglas having plenty of time together. It seemed that the somewhat annoying cliche Paul Reiser was Arkin's replacement, but in reality, it was Turner... and that worked fine. Again, though, it took the entire final season to really enjoy... the entire final season.
